What is UtilifyGrid?

UtilifyGrid is a growing library of free, browser-based tools built for developers, designers, writers, and anyone who needs a quick, accurate answer without the friction of signing up, downloading an app, or waiting for a server.

Every tool on this site — from health calculators and unit converters to JWT debuggers and CSS sandboxes — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is ever sent to a server. Your data stays on your device.

Who built this

UtilifyGrid is built by a small team with backgrounds in software engineering, data analysis, and web development. Our experience spans building production systems for startups and enterprise clients, which shapes how we approach tool design: reliable formulas, transparent working, and no unnecessary complexity.

We source formulas from published standards and peer-reviewed guidelines — the WHO for health metrics, RFC specifications for developer tools, IEEE standards for unit conversions, and established financial models for calculators. Every tool shows its working so you can verify the result independently.

Why we built it

Most tools people search for online are simple enough to run in a browser tab — yet many sites still upload your input to a backend, require an account, or bury the tool under layers of ads and popups. We thought there was a better way.

UtilifyGrid is built on the principle that a tool should load instantly, work offline if needed, and never touch your data. We use Google AdSense to keep the site free — that's the only third-party service with access to any information about your visit.

Our approach to tool quality

Each tool goes through a consistent build process: we identify the relevant published standard or formula, implement it in JavaScript with attention to edge cases, and then verify the output against known reference values. For example, our BMI calculator uses the standard WHO formula with thresholds at 18.5, 25, and 30 — the same values used by the World Health Organization and clinical guidelines worldwide.

We test tools across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and device types (desktop, tablet, mobile) to ensure consistent behaviour. Where a formula has known limitations — such as BMI not distinguishing muscle from fat — we state this clearly in the tool's documentation.

Tools are updated when standards change (e.g., currency rate updates, revised clinical thresholds) or when users report edge cases. We track known issues on our contact page.

All tool processing happens locally in your browser. No data you enter into any tool is transmitted to a server, stored, or logged. The only data collected by this site is anonymous analytics (via Google Analytics 4) and advertising identifiers (via Google AdSense), both of which are standard for free, ad-supported websites.
